I’m always a big fan of lightweight tripods which I use for all sorts of use. I don’t use large DSLR cameras since I discovered micro four thirds, which works well on light weight tripods unless you use large lenses. For the record I’ve one of the cheapest version of Manfrotto 190 series tripod to compare with, not really a comparison as Zakitane PT55 is a cheaper tripod, but just as a benchmark to compare with
Lightweight, Easy to carryThe bag comes with the tripod has no padding, so just be careful when you handle roughly. Tripod leg extensions have plastic locking clips. Quick release plate works exactly as expected, Most of the tripod is constructed from aluminium and rest of the parts are made of ABS plastic.
Overall a decent travel tripod, lightweight and durable. Easy to setup and collapse without much effort. Carry bag is just okay, but would have been nicer if there was extra padding. Please do check out the pictures for a closer look.
